Rick Baker

An active real estate broker and instructor, Rick Baker is the founder, owner and Broker-in-Charge of his own real estate firm. With over 40 years of professional experience, Rick has spent the last 13 years concentrating on commercial real estate brokerage where he has been an award winning broker (Top Producer and Top Lister) with the largest and oldest commercial firm in Greensboro. He has held his real estate license since 1999 and is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Rick teaches Prelicensing and Postlicensing courses in Charlotte, Greenville, and Raleigh. He uses his experiences in real estate transactions and business to provide examples and insights into understanding real estate requirements and responsibilities. Rick is very involved in his profession and, as a result, is an active member in various professional real estate organizations such as the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association, the North Carolina and National Association of REALTORS, the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties, The Greensboro Board of REALTORS and the Greensboro REALTORS Commercial Alliance where he is a past Board of Directors member and past Chairman of the Board. Rick is also a designee of the prestigious international Certified Commercial Institute Member (CCIM). Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Campbell University and a Masters of Science degree from West Virginia University. He is a Vietnam Era military veteran and is very involved with community veteran and civic organizations. He is a member of the United Methodist church.

 
 
 

Christie Berry

Christie Berry began her real estate career in 2003 after graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a BA in Communication Studies. During the first four years of her career, she earned awards for million dollar and multi-million dollar producer along with her GRI designation. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and sharing her own personal experiences in real estate to help her students understand some of the more difficult concepts in the classroom. With the changing real estate market, Christie decided to transition from sales into property management in 2009 while continuing to teach. Working in the property management field has given Christie more personal experiences and has allowed her to expand on the knowledge she shares with her students. Christie is a member of the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association and teaches Prelicensing, Postlicensing and Continuing Education Courses at our Wilmington location.

 
 
 

Pete Camak

A former owner of a successful dental practice in Wilmington, Pete Camak has been in the general real estate brokerage business since 1981. He has taught Prelicensing, Postlicensing and Continuing Education Courses for more than 15 years. Using his practical background experience in real estate transactions, Dr. Pete uses humorous real estate stories to help his students understand basic real estate principles and practices. Pete divides his teaching time among our Greenville and Wilmington classroom locations. He also serves as Broker-In-Charge of Camak Realty in Pine Knoll Shores.

 
 
 

Roy Faron

Active in the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association since 1998, Roy Faron has served as President and as a member of the Board of Directors. Roy teaches Prelicensing, Postlicensing, Exam Prep, and Continuing Education Courses at the Greenville, Raleigh and Wilmington classroom locations, as well as surrounding areas. Roy was selected by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission to serve on a special panel to review questions for the State Licensing Examination. Roy also serves as Associate Director of Online Continuing Education for the J.Y. Monk Real Estate School. He worked for 8 years listing and selling real estate in the Charlotte market for the largest real estate firm in Charlotte. Roy was instrumental in developing the original Website for the J.Y. Monk Real Estate School.

 
 
 

Frank Fields

Frank has been helping people buy & sell Real Estate in Pitt County for over a decade and has taught in both public and private schools for seven years. In 1991, Frank earned a Masters Degree in Education (MAEd) from East Carolina University. While attending college, Frank worked in construction so he understands the home building process from the ground up. As an award winning Broker and former BIC/Owner of one of the area's largest real estate firms, Frank has direct experience and insight in the home sales process. He has served as a member on the Board Of Directors for the Greenville/Pitt Association Of Realtors and is currently the Broker-in-Charge for Home Buyers Marketing Inc. Frank has a passion for teaching others about the ever changing Real Estate Industry and currently teaches Prelicensing Courses at our Greenville classroom.

 
 

Rick Fuller

As a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant and Broker-in-Charge of his own real estate company, Rick Fuller has the perfect blend of experience in instruction and real estate to teach students in our Greenville, Raleigh, and Greensboro classrooms. Rick teaches Prelicensing, Postlicensing, and Continuing Education Courses. In the military, he held positions as Professional Military Education Instructor and Director of Education at NCO Professional Education Center. Rick's dynamic, knowledgeable instruction helps students remain goal-focused, and engaged in their learning experience. Rick is the owner and BIC of Rick Fuller REALTORS.

 
 

Janice Gulick

An award winning Real Estate Agent, Janice Gulick has over a decade of experience as an Educator, Real Estate Firm Manager and Broker-In-Charge with several leading Real Estate Firms throughout the Triangle area. She is one of an elite group of instructors who was selected to serve as a "Certified Facilitator" training new agents for Century 21. Janice is a past Vice President of the Johnson County Association of REALTORS, and she has been recognized by the NC Real Estate Commission for outstanding performance as a Real Estate Instructor. She teaches Broker Prelicensing, Postlicensing, Exam Prep, and Continuing Education Courses at the J. Y. Monk Real Estate School in Raleigh and the triangle area.

 
 
 

Carol Lambert

With 25 years of North Carolina real estate industry experience and 8 years of real estate teaching experience, Carol Lambert brings a unique passion and knowledge to the classroom. Carol teaches Prelicensing, Postlicensing, Exam Prep and Continuing Education Courses in our Charlotte, Hickory and Raleigh classrooms. She aims to not only help students pass the North Carolina real estate exam, but also to provide a good foundation for them to build a successful real estate career on. Carol has been recognized by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission for achieving an outstanding record of student performance for the past four years. As a broker, Carol served as co-owner of a real estate firm for 12 years and earned the ABR, GRI, LTG, and PMN designations. She has also served as: Director of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS, State President of the Women's Council of REALTORS, Dean of the North Carolina Real Estate Education Foundation, President of Central Carolinas Association of REALTORS and REALTOR of the Year, and Member of the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association.

 
 
 

Nancy Legg

Licensed as a Broker and Real Estate Instructor in both North Carolina and South Carolina, Nancy Legg brings 19 years of Real Estate experience to our Charlotte Classroom. She teaches Postlicensing and Continuing Education Courses for the J. Y. Monk Real Estate School. Nancy served for several years as Broker-In-Charge of one of the largest real estate firms in South Carolina. She won the South Carolina Association of REALTORS "Educator of the Year" award in 2005. Nancy has held the offices of President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Palmetto Real Estate Educators Association. She is a Consumer Certified Real Estate Consultant (C-CREC), Certified Buyers Representative (CBR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and an active Broker-In-Charge.

 
 
 

Donna Parker

While working with two of the largest real estate firms in the Triangle area both as an agent and a Broker-in-Charge, Donna has been training and coaching real estate licensees since the early 1980's. Currently, she is managing an office in Knightdale, where she actively assists in developing the business career of the agents while growing the office to respond to an improving real estate market. She brings this enthusiasm to the classroom as a real estate instructor and her real life experiences allow her to relate to students in Prelicensing, Postlicensing and Continuing Education Courses, which she teaches in our Raleigh location. Donna has been an active participant in the REALTOR organization, serving on both the local and state levels. She has served as President of the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors, named Realtor of the Year, and continues to serve on the Government Affairs Committee. At NCAR, she has served twice on the Executive Committee and a number of years as State Director. Her professional designations include GRI, CRB, e-Pro and SFR. In 2012, Donna was named Member of the Year for the Women's Council of Realtors. Donna graduated from North Carolina State University with a BA in Speech Communications.

 
 
 

Kevin Sensing

A former Broker-In-Charge for the largest real estate firm in Goldsboro, Kevin Sensing teaches Prelicensing, Postlicensing Exam Prep and Continuing Education Courses for the J.Y. Monk Real Estate School. He divides his teaching time among our Fayetteville, Greenville and Raleigh classrooms. Kevin has written Real Estate Training Programs for North Carolina real estate firms and has served as Training Manager for three real estate firms. He produced a popular, comprehensive "Power Point Presentation" which he and some of our other instructors use to assist them in teaching their Broker Prelicensing Courses. Kevin served for 20 years in the US Air Force before entering the real estate business. He holds a BA in General Aeronautics.

 
 

Kim Stotesbury

A real estate investor and Property Manager, Kim Stotesbury is the founder and Broker-In-Charge for two real estate firms in North Carolina. She is also an award winning real estate educator and author. Kim has received the outstanding "Educator of the Year", award, the "Billie J. Mercer Excellence in Education" award and the "Real Estate Program of the Year" award from the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association. She is the J.Y. Monk Real Estate School's training manager and also teaches Postlicensing, Exam Prep, and Continuing Education Courses throughout North Carolina. Kim is one of only a few real estate instructors nationwide who hold the prestigious Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI) national designation. She is actively involved in the music ministry at her church and is a proud grandmother.

 
 

Jerry Thomas

With more than 15 years of real estate teaching experience, Jerry Thomas serves as our Wilmington Classroom Manager.  Jerry holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a MA from George Washington University.  His unique style of teaching, using material-related stories and examples, makes learning both fun and relevant for his students.  Jerry was selected by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission to serve on a special panel to review questions for the State Licensing Examination.  He was also selected to speak at the Annual Conference of the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association on the topic “How to Improve Instructor Pass Rates on the State Licensing Exam”.

 
 
 

Sandy Williams

While serving as our Charlotte Manager, Sandy Williams teaches Broker Prelicensing Courses, Postlicensing Courses and Continuing Education Courses in our Charlotte Classroom.  She is a former President of the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association and has served on key Committees in the national Real Estate Educators Association.  Sandy received the 2006 “Educator of the Year” award and the “Billie J. Mercer Excellence in Education” award.  She holds the coveted DREI (Distinguished Real Estate Instructor) designation which has been awarded to only a small number of real estate educators nationwide.
