J.Y. Monk Real Estate School offers the required 8 hours of Broker-In-Charge Continuing Education in 30 Classroom Locations statewide. All BICs are required by State Law in North Carolina to attend the NEW 4 Hour BIC Annual Review Course and the NEW 4 Hour Update Course each year.
We offer the NEW 4 Hour Broker-In-Charge Annual Review Course (#8812) from 8:30AM – 12:30PM in each location and the NEW 4 Hour Update Course (#9912) from 1:30PM – 5:30PM in each location. You can attend one of our BIC CE Courses for $59.00 or both the BIC Annual Review Course & the Update Course in the same day for a special $109.00 Discount Tuition Fee.

Mandatory Update Course (#9912)In this year's new mandatory Update Course (#9912), which was written by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, the J.Y. Monk Real Estate Training Center's outstanding instructors focus on Selected Property Management Issues, Selected Residential Contract Forms, A Broker's Role in a Short Sale Transaction & Broker Price Opinions, License Law Changes and Licensing & Education Issues.
SCHOOL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR BROKER-IN-CHARGE CE CLASSROOM COURSES:
Refund and Cancellation Policy If you cancel one of our Broker-In-Charge Continuing Education Courses, we will be happy to carry your Tuition Fee forward for one year to another BIC CE Course. There are no refunds (no exceptions).
“Walk-In” Policy “Walk-Ins” are welcome in our Broker-In-Charge CE Courses as space permits. We will charge you an additional “Walk-In” Fee of $10.00 per CE Course. (We suggest you Pre-Register for any of our BIC CE Courses to avoid extra fees.)
“No Show” Policy If you are registered for one of our Broker-In-Charge CE Courses and do not show up for the course, you must call our Administrative Office at 1-800-849-0932 from 9:00AM-5:00PM on Monday-Friday to reschedule the course. You will be charged a $10.00 Rescheduling Fee to move to another BIC CE Course.
Classroom Attendance Policy State Law requires all Broker-In-Charge CE Students to attend at least 90% of a 4 Hour BIC CE Course including breaks. Broker-In-Charge CE Students who are absent from the classroom more than 24 minutes will not receive credit for a BIC CE Course. (For example, if a BIC CE Course begins at 8:30AM and you arrive in the classroom after 8:54AM, by State Law our instructor will not allow you to enter the Classroom, and we cannot give you credit for the Broker-In-Charge CE Course. We will consider you to be a “No Show”, and you should call our Administrative Office at 1-800-849-0932 from 9:00AM-5:00PM on Monday-Friday to reschedule your BIC CE Course for a $10.00 Rescheduling Fee.)
No BIC CE Tests or Exams THERE ARE NO TESTS OR EXAMS GIVEN IN ANY OF OUR BIC CONTINUING EDUCATION - CLASSROOM COURSES.
Broker-In-Charge Continuing Education Course Reporting After you have successfully attended one or more of our BIC CE Course(s), J.Y. Monk Real Estate School will report electronically within seven (7) days to the NC Real Estate Commission that you have successfully completed your Broker-In-Charge CE Course(s). We will give you a Certificate of Completion at the end of your BIC CE Course(s) to keep for your own records.
